    Our Story

    Personio’s co-founders – Hanno Renner, Roman Schumacher, Arseniy Vershinin, and Jonas Rieke – met while studying at the Center for Digital Technology & Management (CDTM) in Munich. Seeing how Europe’s SMEs were being held back by manual HR processes, they decided to build a software solution that empowers HR teams while improving employee experience and propelling businesses forward. 

    In 2015, Personio was born. Fast-forward to now, and Personio is Europe's leading HR software provider, empowering small and mid-sized organisations to grow and succeed.

    At Personio, we believe social responsibility encompasses caring for one another as well as our planet. In 2021, the founding team set up the Personio Foundation, supporting non-profits worldwide in the areas of climate change and education. 

    The Personio Foundation holds 1% of Personio’s shares — currently worth $85 million.
